Thank you to Home & School for putting on a fun Easter Egg Hunt for JPII students!

This Wednesday, April 10th, our Home and School Association will be offering a Hot Lunch featuring spaghetti, garlic bread, chocolate pudding and a Rice Krispie treat! If your child did not participate, please send a lunch as usual.

As a reminder, we are no longer able to accept late Hot Lunch orders, so if your child did not turn his/her order in by Friday, April 5th, (s)he will need to bring a lunch to school as usual on April 10th.

We still need volunteers to help prepare and serve the food as well as supervise the lunch!

Here is a Sign-Up Link.

Our home and school meeting will be held this Thursday at 6:00 PM in the School Library. All are welcome and encouraged to attend – remember, meetings count towards your volunteer hours!

Just 5 spots left! Click here for a printable form.

Have you heard of the Kid’s Carnival? Our Home & School Association hosts this fun event during the Spring Auction! The Kid’s Carnival takes place in the Resurrection Church Basement, which is transformed into a fun carnival atmosphere! There are games (Bean Bag Clown Toss, Frog Flinger, Hole in One Golfing, Go Fish, Nerf Targets, Minute to Win it Basketball, Fish Bowl Ping Pong Toss, etc.), pizza, face painting, popcorn, and prizes!

Our Spring Auction will be held on Friday, May 3rd from 4:30-10:00 pm, and we offer free childcare (with registration - contact the office to register) for those who are attending the event! The Kids Carnival will run from 4:30 until 8:00 pm, and then there will be ‘Movies in the Barn’ (projected onto a big screen, and with plenty of patio heaters!) from 8:00 until 10:00 pm!

We are in need of some help to pull this off! We are looking for volunteers for both the Kids Carnival and Movies in the Barn Childcare — all childcare volunteers must be VIRTUS Certified. You can sign up to volunteer here.

The Spring Auction is JPII’s biggest annual fundraiser that we rely on to cover one-third of our yearly operating budget! This event is very important and very fun! We still have over 75 volunteer slots to fill, so if you are able, please sign up for a shift (or more!) here. Opportunities are in shifts and include Event Set-Up, Event Photography, Food Service, Grilling, Registration/Sales, Blinky Light Sales (50/50), Bucket Raffle Oversight/Ticket Sales, Appetizer/Dessert Set-Up/Refresh, Silent Auction Oversight, Auction Bid Cheerleaders, Bucket Counters, Wine/Beer Service, Childcare, & Event Tear-Down.

Bring a friend and volunteer together, then check out the event and have some more fun!!

We are also in need of baked goods; baked goods can be dropped off at the JPII Office on Thursday, May 2nd between 7:30 am and 3:00 pm and on Friday, May 3rd between 7:30 am and 1:00 pm.

*Note: Volunteers for Childcare (Kid’s Carnival or Movies in the Barn/After Hours Childcare) must be VIRTUS certified with the District of Marquette. All other event volunteers are not required to be VIRTUS certified.

Check out our Event Page on Facebook for a sneak peek at all of the awesome items we will have up for grabs as part of the Live Auction, Bucket Raffles, and -new this year- Silent Auction!

Calling all garden enthusiasts! We're having a garden club meetup at the school garden on the west side of JPII on Sunday, April 21, from noon to 3:00 pm. Anyone can join us, and it's awesome if you can bring your kids along to lend a hand! We'll be getting the garden ready for spring planting, expanding beds, relocating raspberry bushes, spreading topsoil and mulch, and tackling more fun garden tasks. If you need volunteer hours or just want to dig in and help out, this is a perfect chance to get involved! See you there!
