  • Volunteer Opportunities

We currently have several volunteer opportunities available! Families can start getting in their hours for the 2023-2024 school year before it even starts! If you are interested in helping fill any of the following needs, please contact the office for more information.

  • We will need some assistance in spreading out mulch on our playground next week. Mr. Josh will be dumping the first load of mulch around 2:00 pm Monday, August 14th, and from that point on he will need help getting it spread out over the playground until about 5:00 pm. He will be arriving around noon on Tuesday, August 15th, with the second load and will be looking for volunteers to help spread the mulch.

  • We are looking for a couple of volunteers who would like to help organize a couple of closets at JPII before the school year starts! Please contact the office for specifics!

  • We are in need of a couple of volunteers to help assemble new lab benches for the Science Lab.

  • We are in need of someone to help install some new flooring in a small space (about 250 square feet). Anyone with experience installing vinyl plank-style flooring that is interested in helping out in the next week, please contact the office!

  • We are in need of a few volunteers to help with set-up for Open House at 3:00 pm on August 24th. If you are able to help, sign up here or let the office know!

  • We are in need of a couple of Spring Auction volunteers to move the Spring Auction items from their current location, into their new 'home'.

  • We are in search of a volunteer Scrip Coordinator to help oversee the Scrip Program during the school year. The volunteer Scrip Coordinator would submit purchase orders, process and fill family orders, reconcile inventory, recruit additional businesses to participate in the Scrip program, coordinate volunteers for pick-up, etc.

  • The School Council is currently establishing a Marketing & Development sub-committee, and is seeking volunteers with marketing experience to be involved. If you have a background in marketing, please contact the office to find out how you can help SJPII grow!

Again, if you are interested in more information or would like to get some time scheduled to help out, please email secretary@jpiicatholicacademy.org.

  • Reminder from Miss Jennie to Preschool Families

A reminder to all my Pre-K (3) and new KR (4) families: I need the health appraisal form (green) to be turned in to me 30 days before school starts! (The first day of school is August 28th.) If you haven't already, please get those to me as soon as possible!

To all Pre-K and KR families: I will need the child information record form, parent notification of the licensing notebook form, and JPII child placement contract, turned in by the first day of class.

I am excited about this new school year. Please reach out to me via email if you have any questions: jsmith@jpiicatholicacademy.org.

    Thank you,

Miss Jennie will go over the goals for both programs as well as common procedures (i.e. drop-off and pick-up). This is a great time to turn in any forms that you have not yet turned in, as well!
Grandparents, relatives, or other guardians who will be involved in school events, drop-off, pick-up, etc. are welcome to attend!

We will have an Open House on Thursday, August 24th from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. This will be the designated supply-drop off time this year!

This is a great time to meet your teacher, find your classroom, drop off school supplies, & learn about the various things we offer at JPII, as well as how to get involved! Home & School will have several JPII apparel items available for cash & carry purchase at Open House.

Interested in volunteering at the event? Sign up here or let the office know!

There will also be an orientation presentation given in the gym at 5:30 pm that will cover volunteer obligations and opportunities, how to log your hours in Facts, Scrip, uniforms, JPII clubs, etc. If you are unable to make it, the presentation will be recorded and uploaded to the school website.

  • JPTuesday/Apparel Webstore Update

Remember, EVERY TUESDAY is “JPTuesday”, students can wear their official JPII apparel to school. As a reminder, for those who wear their JPII apparel, Nut Pass rules apply. The apparel store will be open until October 1st for you to stock up on your JPII apparel must-haves. JPTuesdays will be noted on the calendar so there is no conflict with other schedules that take precedence over “Nut Pass” (e.g. School Mass). Click here to check out the apparel webstore!

  • JPII Amazon Wishlists

Teachers often use their own money and resources to supplement materials provided by the school, therefore, Home & School has encouraged JPII faculty, staff, and clubs to set up wish lists on Amazon.  Each wish list includes items and supplies that will make a difference at the Academy.  Once an item is purchased, Amazon will ship the item directly to JPII.  The hope is that all teachers will be able to replenish supplies they use regularly, and also be able to offer fresh, new learning tools to their students. We invite each of you to check out the JPII wish lists here and grant a few wishes today!
