Week of December 4th

We have had a lot of kiddos coming to the Uniform Closet for sweaters, leggings to wear under their skirts/jumpers, hats, mittens/gloves, and inside shoes. Unfortunately, we have a very low supply of sweaters, mittens, inside shoes, and smaller sized leggings available in the uniform closet, so please try and send these things to school with your kiddos! If you have extras at home that have been outgrown, and you would be willing to donate we would appreciate it!

We are in need of some help with decorating cookies on Monday, December 4th, after school. She is also looking for a couple of volunteers for the lunch hour to help sell on Wednesday & Thursday, December 6th & 7th. Please email Mrs. Knight if you can help!

Get some Christmas shopping done without having to go out to the stores, that will even count toward toward your family Scrip obligation! A printable form is available here, or you can email the office to have one sent home with your JPII student.

We're excited to share that Miles Sorensen, a 3rd grade student who has been bravely facing cancer for the past two years, is completing his cancer treatment. On December 8th at 2:30 PM, Miles will walk the school halls with his family while fellow students cheer him on in support. The walk will end in the gym, where you are invited to join us in celebrating the end of Miles' cancer journey. Students are encouraged to wear their Miles shirts, the color orange, or Baby Yoda to show support!

NEXT Wednesday, December 13th, our Home and School Association will be offering a Hot Lunch featuring Pizza, yogurt, and a cookie! The order slips have been sent home and should be returned by Friday, December 8th to participate.

With Christmas fast approaching, we know many are looking for gift ideas for our teachers. Home & School has encouraged JPII faculty, staff, and clubs to set up wish lists on Amazon. Each wish list includes items and supplies that will make a difference at the Academy. Once an item is purchased, Amazon will ship the item directly to JPII; just remember to add a gift message (including the recipient’s name) so the recipient knows who the gift came from, and we know who to bring the package to! We invite you to check out the JPII wish lists here and grant a few wishes today! Thank you for your thoughtful and generous support!

Preschool had a fun week learning about space!
