JPII Fun!
We’ve been having so much fun at JPII; here is just a little bit of it!
3K has been spending a lot of time exploring inside and outside the classroom and fitting in quite well at JPII!
This week, Miss Kricket visited 4K to do a special art lesson with leaves for fall. Thank you, Miss Kricket!
Check out some of the neat pictures drawn by Kindergarten students during free time this week!
We have some beautiful artwork on display created by students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s painting The Starry Night.
Mrs. Van Brocklin’s 7th & 8th grade students got their chance to work in groups to create a model of a cell with cake and candy. The cake was the cell, square for plant cells and round for animal cells, the frosting and candy represented the parts of the cell called Organelles. When the students were done assembling their cake, I had them explain what organelle each candy represented and what that organelle's job is in a real cell.
Athletics held a Basketball skills and drills day for JPII students in 3rd through 8th grade. Coach Jen Milostan and Athletic Director Sarah Windbiel hosted this event. A HUGE Thank You to Jen and Sarah! The kids enjoyed many fundamental drills to build their skills, including fun games. We look forward to doing this event again in the near future!
