  • Open House

    SJPII’s open house is tomorrow, March 1st! This is a great opportunity to meet next year’s teachers and invite friends who are interested to come and check out our school!

    Remember Open Enrollment starts tomorrow as well. So, if you are registering for preschool remember to do it TODAY! Classes fill up very fast and we advise you to lock in your spot now.

  • Principal note: Family survey

    Dear Parents/Guardians,

    Each year, we ask parents for their input regarding our schools’ strengths and areas for growth.  By completing a brief online survey from the Diocese of Marquette, you help us to be better at serving your children and family. We value your input and thank you for your participation. We will set goals to improve our services based upon your feedback. 

    The survey is available from Friday, March 4th to Saturday, March 12th. Simply click on the link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2022CatholicSchoolSurvey and you will be directed to the short survey (approximately 5 to 7 minutes). 

    All responses received are totally confidential and anonymous.  We would like to have 100% participation.

  • Ash Wednesday Mass

    Because of Ash Wednesday, students will attend a special Mass this Wednesday at 1.15 at Resurrection Parish. Family members are welcome to attend. There will not be a Friday student mass this week. Wednesday formally begins the 40 day liturgical season of Lent leading up to the Holy Tridium and Easter Sunday. More info below.


  • Volunteer hours

    There is the opportunity for volunteer hours in the next 2+ weeks of some light office work (preparation work for spring auction raffle, folding letters, stuffing envelopes, etc..) If you are interested please call or email the office to set up a time that works for you. We hope to get enough spread out volunteers for this so that the envelope stuffing on the 15th won’t be necessary but we’ll give an update on that closer to the 15th.

    There is also the opportunity for volunteer hours by serving in one of the following committees:


  • Spring Auction Committee

    The Spring Auction committee will meet this Thursday, March 3rd at 6pm at the academy (staff lounge). Please come and join us and see all the things that need to be done. This is a big event and we can use all the volunteers we can get.


  • School Garden Committee

    Calling all parents with a green thumb! Dust off your gardening gloves, the garden committee will be meeting Thursday, March 10th at 3:30 pm in the gymnasium to discuss the upcoming planting season. If you’re interested but can not make the meeting, please contact Libby Theuerkauf at 906-290-4081 or let the office know and you will be contacted.
