Week of October 31st

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.

Romans 12:9&10

  • Monday Parade

This Monday we will be having our classroom Halloween parties and parade. The teachers have been in communication with you about the individual class parties. If you have not gotten a note please contact your child’s teacher.

At 2:30 we will have a parade clockwise around the school so the kids can show off their costumes. Below you can find the route. Dismissal will be as usual at 3 pm by the usual grade-assigned doors.

  • Join us for two Student Masses next week

Next week students will be attending Holy Mass at Resurrection Parish on All Saints’ Day, November 1st, and 1st Friday Mass at Holy Redeemer Parish, November 4th, both beginning at 8:30 am. Reminder: first Friday dress is a white collared shirt/polo and navy pants for boys and navy pants or skirt/jumper for girls.

Why is All Saints’ Day Special?

All Saints' Day is a solemn holy day of obligation in the Catholic Church dedicated to the saints, that is, all those who have attained heaven. It should not be confused with All Souls' Day, which is observed on November 2nd, and is dedicated to prayer for those who have died. Although millions or billions of people may already be saints, All Saints' Day observances celebrate all those who have entered heaven, including saints who are recognized by the Church and those who are not. All Saints' Day is also commemorated by members of the Eastern Orthodox Church as well as some protestant churches, such as Lutheran and Anglican churches. Source: catholic.org

  • Picture retakes
