Summer time went fast! Only 2 more weeks until the start of school! Time to get ready.
Open house August 30th
We have our open house on MONDAY, August 30th from 4-6. This is time to drop off all the student supplies in their classroom(s) and connect with their teacher(s).
Kindergarten -8th-grade parents (and students) can come in through the main entrance. Preschool parents, please use door 18 in the back of the building.
For Preschool you have to sign up per timeslot because of the volume of students. If you have not yet, here is the link: Preschool sign up
Beginning of year Paperwork.
At the beginning of each year, we have some paperwork. This includes updated family emergency information, commitment forms, internet use agreement, Photo permission, etc.
These packets are now available for pick up at the school office if you want to get a head start. They will also be available during the open house on the 30th. The office will need these packets back at the end of the first week of school.
NOTE: Preschool parents these packets are different from the packets of Mrs. Krickets class!! the packets from Mrs. Kricket need to be picked up at school prior to the open house because they are DUE at the open house.
New office hours
The office will now be open Monday - Friday 10am - 3pm
This until the beginning of school when we switch to Monday - Friday 7.30 am - 3.30 pm
Meet our new teacher and new secretary
Miss. Knight
We are excited to welcome Miss Deanna Knight to our faculty family this fall.
Miss Knight, who originally hails from northern Illinois, is a graduate of Northern Michigan University and has taught 6th grade through high school at Carney and Stephenson area schools respectively over the past six years. In addition to English Language Arts and History, Miss Knight will be adding Spanish language and Drama to our fall humanities course offering in our Junior High.
We are delighted by Deanna’s faith-filled energy, creativity, and enthusiasm she brings to teaching.
Mr. Matty
joins our faculty this year teaching courses in JH Science and Math. Hailing from Crivitz, Mr. Matty brings over 25 years of teaching experience at both the junior high and high school level in Gillett and Crivitz and is excited to teach in our Catholic school!
Mrs. Ashley Burby
Meet the new administrative assistant in the office. Ashley is new to our JPII family. This year she will join us together with her 4 year old son who will start in Pre-K
Ashley an her husband both grew up in the Menominee/Marinette area, and are members of Resurrection Church. They enjoy spending family time outside, camping, singing, cooking and drawing!
Ashley is a welcomed addition to our staff and we hope everyone gets a chance to wave “hello”. She will be manning the office in the mornings while Mrs. Peanosky handles the afternoon hours.
