Summer News #3

News during summer time.png

The preparations for the new school year are already in full swing!

  • Welcome to the new families

Even though this is Summer News #3 it is the first emailing to the new families so we want to say welcome!

Throughout the year this will be the main form of communication from the school, we try to send out a weekly mailer with updates, reminders, and useful information about school life.

Any replies to these emails will go straight to the office and we will do our best to reply to any questions promptly.

If you would like to add someone to this email list who would benefit from these updates (e.g. a grandparent who picks up the child(ren) and likes the reminders) you can send us their email address and we will add them.

  • Uniforms

Kindergarten through 8th-grade students wear uniforms. Preschool students do NOT NEED to wear uniforms.

We have donated uniforms at school that students have grown out of or have been given by people from church etc. Feel free to come take a look.

  • Open House

The open house is on August 30th, 4 pm - 6 pm. This is to drop off all the student supplies and meet the teachers.

Preschool will have 2 open house days due to the size of the classrooms. Mrs. Kriket would like parents to sign up so that she has time to meet everyone individually. Here is the link for the signup. Preschool supply drop off

  • August calendar

August 31st is our 1st day of school.

Also, note that the scrip order day is august 18th which is a Wednesday instead of the usual Thursday.

  • Volunteer opportunity

we will be receiving fresh wood chips for our school playground next week thanks to Don Machalk & Sons Fence Corp. and Twin City Trucking!

We are scheduling our first volunteer work bee of the new school year on Wednesday, August 11th, to help rake the chips around the equipment. Wednesday looks the best day (weather-wise). If you can help us Wednesday, give us a call (or reply to this email) when (morning/afternoon) you can help us out. we are looking for about 5-7 sets of hands to make light work of the project! Thank you.
