Week of August 31st: Don't Forget Labor Day Weekend!
Welcome, Mrs. Peanosky!
This year, JP2 welcomes a new administrative assistant to the office: Mrs. Kristi Peanosky. Kristi comes to us with experience managing the office of a diamond company as well as managing a family of seven (well, 8 when we include the family dog, Obie). Kristi has dual citizenship between the US and Belgium, how cool is that? Along with Kristi, all five of her children were born in Belgium and also attend JP2. Kristi is a welcomed addition to our staff and we hope everyone gets a chance to wave “hello.” She will be manning the office in the afternoons while Mrs. McKinnon handles the morning hours.
News from Preschool
Reminder for preschool parents to limit sending lunches in lunch boxes. Preferably plastic bag or brown bag. We will notify families when we can send lunch boxes.
Children have adapted to wearing masks and we do take breaks from them at the tables as we social distance. Be sure to send a clean mask in case one gets dirty.
Our daily schedule is a bit of a challenge but we are all adjusting well.
Notes going home will be limited and will do my best to notify everyone through email.
Temperatures are changing as we get into September. Feel free to send a sweatshirt in the mornings.
I will be sending home a September calendar with birthdays listed. Feel free to send a treat that is peanut-free and individually wrapped. Monday/Wednesday/Friday class total of children 24 + 2 teachers, Tuesday/Thursday total number of children 9 + 2 Teachers.

Reminder that we do not have school Friday or Monday — get outside and enjoy your families! Have a wonderful and safe Labor Day Weekend!
Time to Shop with Scrip
Scrip will continue to be available to order via the orange paper sheet, however, families may also order ecards and physical gift cards on the Scrip website. We will continue to deliver those cards to your students to bring home with them when filled. You must have your orders in by 10 am Monday morning to receive them on Thursday. If you do not want your child to take the cards home with them, please let the office know and we will hold them in the safe. Remember, families and friends near and far can place orders that will go towards your Scrip order requirement. Also, make sure to check out their Labor Day rebate boosts when you order online this weekend! Extra earnings for specific retailers and there are quite a few.
