Week of May 9th

SPRING AUCTION
Our academy Spring Auction event is THIS FRIDAY!! We would love to see all of you there! This is such a fun event to attend and get to know other families. We have a ton of cool stuff to auction off again this year and it’s going to be a blast.
There is not “just” childcare this time, there is a whole canaval-themed event for kids this year (they might even have more fun than us)!! This is not only for school kids, everyone can participate, so bring your friends who also have kids! We do ask that you let us know if you are planning on bringing the kids, so we can make sure we have enough volunteers and snacks.
If you have not ordered your tickets yet you can email the office. We can add you to the list and you can pay at the door.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
And we are still looking for 10ish volunteers to help out this Friday either setting up or during the event. Please let the office know ASAP if you can help out.
CALLING ALL BAKERS!! We are short on deserts for Friday! If you are any good at baking please consider making some desserts for the event. the time spent at home doing this also counts as volunteer hours! Please let the office know what you are willing to make and the quantity so we can prepare.

Volunteer Hours
We have been getting some questions from some of you regarding the volunteer hours. If you wish to know how many you have so far, you can look at the FACTS Family Portal. For those of you who have been keeping a list at home, would you be able to send me an email so I can update your hours? OR you can log them yourself on the FACTS Family Portal.

Raffle tickets are due!
The large raffle is this Friday so all your tickets should have been in by now. If you can still get them to the office BEFORE Thursday noon, we can add them to the raffle. If not, you will still be obligated to pay for them and there is no chance of winning after the drawing. So please get the tickets to us on time.

NUT Pass
This Wednesday is a paid NUT Pass day. Please send $2 with your child in a sealed envelope or ziplock with their name if they wish to participate. Thank you.

JPII Garden
There will be a garden cleanup on Tuesday, May 17th, beginning at 8 am at the JPII garden located on the west side of the school. Any parents interested in joining the garden committee or looking to just help out for the day are welcome to come. This does count toward volunteer hours. We will be planting with students on May 25th beginning at 9 am. Anyone is welcome to join us to help the students plant. Due to the pandemic, there are certain things that have been laid dormant for a while. Our Home and School Association is one of those things and we would like to start it up again.
Home and School is our (Catholic) version of the well-known PTO. It is a group of parents who partner together with the school to help organize school events and fundraisers.
Starting in September we are hoping to welcome a lot of new parents to this group because many hands make light work. We are also going to be giving out free student NUT Passes to the parents who participate in the meetings and meetings/events also count towards volunteer hours.
We will be sending out more information during the summer, but if you are interested please let us know already so we can start making a list. Thank you!
