Week of January 25: Catholic Schools Week Next Week

Catholic Schools Week Agenda Posted

While it may not be the same as years past, we still have a lot of fun planned next week for Catholic Schools Week!

For those new to JP2, Catholic Schools Week is a nationwide celebration of Catholic education that takes place each year. Every day of the week has a themed dress-up day as well as special activities planned for the students.

Take a look at the agenda for what we will all be up to next week.

Big Valentine’s Day Rebates NOW!

Scrip has announced many different rebate boosts available this week. Some expire tomorrow and others go until February 5th — so act fast! Get your flowers, dinner, and gifts all with Scrip ecards!

Student Pickup/Dropoff Zones

This is an urgent reminder to families to refrain from parking in the bus zone on 17th Street in front of the Academy. We have had an influx of cars in front of the school before the 7:40 am bell rings, and this is creating a dangerous situation for both bus drivers as well as students coming into school.

Mittens & Meals Drive Starts Monday

In honor of Catholic Schools Week’s theme “learning to serve” JP2 has teamed up with St. Vincent de Paul to host a Mittens and Meals Drive all next week for students.

Students may bring in food donations as well as winter gear donations with them to the Academy all next week. Food donations will be given to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry located in Resurrection Parish and winter wear will be donated to the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Marinette.

On Monday, some classrooms will also have a visit from a Guest speaker from St. Vincent de Paul about the less fortunate in our community Monday.
